See, on this one, you've taken that paper and made it your own, and your subject has a much more attention-grabbing attitude. It OWNS the paper, it belongs there, it says "hey, look at me".

Try for that every time. :3

And a third and final piece of advice is placement.
Where is your subject? What's it touching? What's behind it?

Backgrounds are HARD but they can make all the difference in the world. ^^
